The Money Manual for Lone Parents, which is the result of joint work by Credit Action and One Parent Families/Gingerbread, is available online, offering financial support to those living on a low income. It is hoped that the free manual will help lone parents to more effectively manage their budgets, covering a range of issues including benefits and tax credits. Chris Tapp, director of Credit Action, commented: 'The aim of the manual is to suggest different ways of managing money to accommodate different wishes and lifestyles. Sound financial management is never about 'one size fits all'.' Natasha Benenson, manager of One Parent Families/Gingerbread's Lone Parent Helpline, added: 'This is a really useful booklet for lone parents. I hope that it will help many of them to manage their money more easily.'
