The Aspinall Foundation, a charity for the conservation of endangered species, has become the lucky recipient of an 'altruistic' move by the pre-pay company, M-Cube. According to charity website Thirdsector, M-Cube has dropped the purchase fee on its card. Those that used to have to pay £11.98 will now get the card for free and the company are offering to refund those who have already bought the card. If people choose not to accept the refund the company will donate the total of the charge to the Aspinall Foundation and the money will go towards the charity's work with gorillas. Commenting on the company's gift, a spokesman for the charity said: 'M-Cube has taken a bold step and said 'We aren't just here to talk about charity work.' It has realised endangered species are a serious issue. There is no other word for it but altruism.' Pre-pay credit cards are a new concept and restrict the user to spending only the amount they have pre-loaded onto the card.
