Supporters click through to donate to charities

10/06/08

A new service has been created by a search engine to help small charities make use of technology to boost their fundraising efforts.

Search engine everyclick announced the launch of the new service which will allow people to donate money online to their specified organisation without costing the charity anything.

Polly Gowers, founder of everyclick, said: 'We are excited at the potential this has to make a difference to smaller charities that do not have an online donation facility in place or perhaps even a website.'

The charities that want to get involved will be given pre-configured promotional tools which will guide visitors to their site through to the everyclick homepage.

Supporters will be able to select a 'donate now' button on everyclick's page and then make a decision on how much they want to give.

Everyclick worked with Charities Trust, a national payroll giving and corporate donation management agency approved by the HM Revenue & Customs, to create the facility.
