New software allows charity fundraising via iPhone and iPod

05/06/09

The CHANCEtoGIVE Foundation has launched a new generation of charity fundraising through technology.

Based in Dallas, US, the not-for-profit organisation has created an application for Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch that allows users to donate to charities quickly and easily.

Organisations such as Nourish American, Earth Force and the Cancer Research Institute have already backed the new technology, which could help boost third sector donations during the economic downturn.

CHANCEtoGIVE founder Kevin Robertson commented on the innovative new scheme:'Our goal is to make donating easier for donors and we have done that by enabling them to donate to top performing charities, to donate anonymously and to share a donation with more than one charity.'

Mr Robertson added that all this can be done in less than a minute using the new software.

CHANGEtoGIVE aims to boost the profile of worthwhile charities, attract new donors and pioneer new charity fundraising approaches.
