Great Ormond Street's charity fundraising website

Charity fundraising can be difficult to get right and one not-for-profit organisation has decided that it is easiest to host all information about its events and campaigns online.

Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity has opted to select NTT Europe Online to manage its hosting platform as it needs a secure and reliable base.

The charity explained that web donations were 'key to [its] future success' so it was important that it chose a provider who could build a flexible platform that would evolve as its online charity fundraising grew.

Commenting on the importance of the website, Mark Saldanha, head of IT at Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity, said: 'As the online front of our fundraising operation, we need the charity website to be up and running all the time.

'It's of crucial importance that the website is reliable and always available to potential patrons when they wish to donate.'

Earlier this year, Johnny Depp donated £1 million of his personal fortune to Great Ormond Street Hospital for treating his daughter, the Daily Mail reported.
