DoGreatGood web search to benefit charity fundraising24/07/09 A new website has been launched that allows users to engage in charity fundraising by simply searching the internet. DoGreatGood.com, designed by US metasearch firm InfoSpace, combines the best search results from a number of engines including Google, Yahoo, Bing and Ask, while half of its revenue is donated to various charitable organisations. Speaking about the charity fundraising initiative, InfoSpace general manager of search John Rodkin said: 'Many people would like to donate to charities and non-profits, but the tough economic hardships facing our country today make it difficult. 'Do Great Good users make a positive difference in others' lives without having to open their wallets, simply by searching the web.' The website is an expansion of Dogpile's Search and Rescue programme, which raised some $200,000 (£121,000) for pet charities in November and December last year. Do Great Good has so far raised $449,622 for a number of non-profit organisations in the US. This news item is © CTT Copyright
