Counsel and Care opens new charity fundraising store for mobility equipment

Counsel and Care has announced a new online initiative that could boost its charity fundraising.

Harnessing the power of the internet, the organisation has launched Counsel and Care Store, a website that allows older people to access vital mobility equipment easily.

The charity has joined with Contact4Me to deliver the service, which aims to sell top mobility equipment, household aids, telephones, specially-designed kitchen utensils and vision and eyecare products.

'Counsel and Care's online mobility aids store has a wide range of goods and equipment to help older and disabled people get the most out of life and remain living independently,' the organisation states.

'The shop provides equipment to provide assistance with walking, sleeping, eating, bathing and more,' it adds.

The charity fundraising scheme goes hand in hand with Counsel and Care's Adapting Your Home to Stay Independent report, which outlines grants and funding for people with limited mobility.

According to the organisation, individuals buying mobility products from Counsel and Care Store for their own use may be exempt from paying VAT.
