A leading cancer charity has teamed up with a not-for-profit organisation that grants wishes to terminally ill children to create a fundraising website.

Marie Curie Cancer Care and When You Wish Upon a Star have created the Lasting Tribute site that allows visitors to plant a virtual daffodil field and dedicate a flower to the memory of someone.

Supporters are also given the opportunity to name a star in a virtual night sky in memory of a child.

Dedications cost £5, half of which goes to the charity.
