Symposium to highlight best practice in telephone charity communications15/02/10 Written by Sally O'Connell. Organisations looking to improve how they use technology in their charity communications could be interested in an industry event taking place next month. A telephone fundraising symposium will be hosted by the Fundraising Standards Board (FRSB) and the Institute of Fundraising on March 4th, bringing together a number of experts in the field. The event is free and follows a summit in November 2009 that aimed to highlight best practices and important legislation within charity communications telephony. Chaired by FRSB chair Colin Lloyd, the symposium will take place at the Wellcome Collection in London between 16:30 and 18.30 GMT. Mr Lloyd commented on the'varying interpretations' of best practice within the telephone fundraising community:'We hope that this event will enable fundraisers to identify those areas where they require greater clarity and to provide the opportunity to learn from best practice in the field.' The FRSB is a network of more than 1,000 charity fundraising organisations. This news item is © CTT Copyright
