Charity website Third Sector announced today (June 26th) that VeoSearch had joined in partnership with travel search engine Liligo and price-comparison site kelkoo to allow people to generate money whilst they surf the net. The scheme appears to have been a success so far as the Paris-based company has raised almost £24,500 for charities since its launch in spring. There is also the option for charities involved in the scheme to develop an online community and post messages, videos and photos for their supporters to help them build a personality and brand online. Several big name UK charities are already involved with the scheme such as the British Red Cross and Care International UK. Youth empowerment charity Envision is also signed up. A report by researchers IDC has shown that online advertising is 'growing at a phenomenal rate' compared to traditional advertising.
