With the help of IT consultancy firm Kainos, the organisation launched a new website on June 5th to heighten awareness of the National Safeguarding Unit and its operations. John Brownlow, director of the Safe Network website, said: 'We are delighted with the end result and the Kainos team made a very significant contribution to the successful launch of the Safe Network website. 'This is an outstanding achievement.' The new website indicates the importance of technology to the growing third sector, much of which is increasingly turning to online services such as Twitter to boost charity communications.Safe Network provides important details of procedures surrounding the fair treatment of children and also offers free child protection training.
