New website provides supporting info on funding

A website has been launched that aims to give charities easy access to information on grants and funding available to them.

Developed by non-profit support body the Wheel, it is hoped www.fundingpoint.ie will give charities a convenient, accessible way to gather information on funding.

Talking about the programme, Deirdre Garvey, chief executive officer of the Wheel, said: "It is essential for non-profit organisations to explore all potential funding sources in the current economic climate."

Ms Garvey said it was also a useful service for grant-makers that wanted to "present their funding schemes" to a wider audience.
