Depeche Mode to improve not-for-profit communications with Albert Hall benefit gig23/12/2009 Written by Sally O'Connell. British electronic band Depeche Mode have confirmed that they will use the internet to boost charity communications for Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT). Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the charity's cancer unit, the band will play a one-off concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London on February 17th 2010. Tickets are available online now, priced at between £30 and £100, and all proceeds will go to TCT. Roger Daltrey CBE, lead singer of rock band the Who and patron of TCT, commented: 'When the Who first got together in 2000 to raise money for this brilliant charity, I had no idea we'd achieve so much from these shows: £8.7 million to date and still counting.' On top of the charity performance, Depeche Mode has also teamed up with Swiss watchmaker Hublot to produce 12 unique products. The company will manufacture a single, specially-designed watch for each of the band's studio albums, all of which will be auctioned online and could boost charity communications and fundraising for TCT.
