That is the advice of e-consultancy who has said that making sure people are able to navigate a site is of utmost importance. Graham Charlton, researcher for e-consultancy, explained: 'People want to be able to visit the site, navigate around it easily to find what they want as quickly as possible, and then to check out.' He continued: 'Things that take too long can put people off, so in terms of payment, having a long check out form, all these things can put people off. Keep it relatively simple.' Research into UK web users conducted by Forrester showed the importance of making a site easily searchable. According to Forrester, 81 per cent of users found sites using a search engine. In related research, NPD found that people searched by using multiple keywords, so charities should remember to optimise their site with relevant terms.
