Livability has designed Freedom to Live to help make its brand more recognisable and to help the public to garner a better understanding of what it is trying to achieve. It is hoping that through a direct marketing campaign and a special website, as well as with advertisements on television, in the press and on the Underground, it will be able to attract 2,000 new supporters, thirdsector.co.uk reports. Livability is also hoping to raise £10,000 with the Freedom to Live campaign. The charity was only set up last month with the merger of Shaftesbury and John Grooms and this new campaign has been created by Tangible Response. John Chamberlain, director of fundraising and marketing at Livability, is very excited about the campaign and what it could help the charity to achieve. He commented: 'The new name reinforces the idea that we focus on people's individual strengths and abilities. We want that positive, life-changing aspect of our work to be communicated to a broad range of audiences, including our existing supporters, who are getting used to our new name, and new and younger supporters.' During the course of this month, direct mail packages asking for donations of between £15 and £165 will be sent out to 75,000 people.
