'Have a good time doing good,' charity website urges users30/06/09 A new charity campaigning website is aiming to get users to 'have a good time doing good'. Leap Anywhere lists charitable events in the user's local area and promotes campaigning through the use of new technology. Peter Gardner, who was at the forefront of social music success story Last.fm, told the Telegraph: 'Leap Anywhere is a social community around doing good. It asks what people want to do and allows people to volunteer for good causes without it being a strain.' Mr Gardner added that he believes technological initiatives could help charitable giving seem less of a burden to some individuals. The website involves more than 100 registered charities, including Oxfam, Amnesty International and the Kanye West Foundation. It has so far been a success story, with Boris Johnson encouraging Londoners 'to leap at the chance to get involved' in the charity campaigning initiative. This news item is © CTT Copyright
