Charity for the homeless joins forces with Mobile Interactive Group

12/08/08

A leading charity for the homeless has joined forces with a multimedia service provider in order to thank donors directly.

Mobile Interactive Group (MIG) has secured an exclusive deal with fundraising charity Shelter that will allow donors to receive multimedia messages on their mobile phones.

Shelter sees the partnership as an opportunity to keep in touch with younger donors directly and let them see for themselves the benefit of their charity.

David Jackson, direct marketing manager at Shelter, said: 'Donors will be reminded that their direct debit payments are more than just a note on a bank account statement and that they are contributing to the fight against homelessness and poor housing around the UK.'

The service will also provide donors with celebrity support updates, downloads and competitions, as well as volunteering information when the campaign launches on August 20th.

In other news, Tees Valley children's charity Cash for Kids has launched its new website, which it hopes will boost fundraising efforts.
