According to charity news website Third Sector, Live Nation is the 65th company to enter into such a corporate partnership, and will aim to raise £250,000 a year for CRUK. While most of that total will come from the firm's live concerts and events, it has also pledged to provide pro bono support for a number of CRUK events, donate auction prizes and help with the charity's campaigning. Third Sector reports Paul Farthing, director of high-value relationships for CRUK, as saying: 'Live Nation is a very exciting opportunity for us, which allows us to take the charity's messages to a new audience.' In other CRUK news, two men have towed a giant blue piggy bank on a tandem from Glasgow to London, in an effort to raise money for the charity. Steve Hunt and Gordon McKirdy raised £10,000 in total, inviting people to put money into the six foot-high money bank, as they pulled it across the UK during the course of three weeks.
