CTXchange

The CTX Programme, made available in the UK by CTT in partnership with the non-profit technology capacity building organisation, TechSoup, was launched on 1st July 2006.

The programme currently distributes MicrosoftCisco and Symantec product donations to the UK charity sector via an online portal. Nominal administrative fees enable charities to make massive savings on typical retail prices.

The products include:

  • operating system software,
  • productivity software such as Microsoft Office,
  • publishing software,
  • security and anti-virus software,
  • server software,
  • hardware products.

CTT and TechSoup are working to expand the CTX Programme to include donations from other leading corporate technology providers.

What are the benefits of CTX?

  • Access to a range of support resources, that help you best choose, implement, and use the product donations.
  • Savings of over 90% on standard retail prices.
  • Wide variety of hardware and software available – and increasing all the time.
  • Enables you to spend more of the charity’s money on activities other than IT provision.
  • Enables you to reap the benefits of high quality IT products that might otherwise be beyond your budget.

How much does CTX cost?

The CTX Programme charges a nominal administrative fee for each request processed. The fee covers the cost of managing the donation programme.

The administrative fee varies but charities will generally make savings of between 92-96% on typical retail prices. The fee ensures that the CTX Programme can continue to offer donated products as efficiently as possible, at the lowest possible cost.
