What is CP Terminal?

CP Terminal is a tier 1 PCI-DSS compliant secure card payment system for processing. The system is supported by Streamline and HSBC. It processes

  • multiple currency,
  • single or recurring,
  • credit or debit card transactions


For all your online or offline payments, including donations, membership and direct mail and telephone payments and charity shop transactions.

More about CP Terminal

  • CP Terminal is accessed using a simple URL (web address) user name and password. Once in you can process straightaway and each transaction is authorised in real time - within a few seconds - by your bank. The money goes straight into your bank.
  • It is a multi vendor system, which means a charity can set up all of its branches across the country to process their own card payments and collect all their donations, all through one merchant account.
  • It is a direct replacement for the standard credit card terminal (sometimes referred to as a PDQ terminal).
  • Each charity is allocated a unique ID, web address, user name and password.
  • It allows you to set up multiple logins so that individual, identified users can process donations.
  • It allows you to create and link an unlimited number of online donation pages.
  • It offers real time reporting, including gift aid reports in line with Inland Revenue requirements.
  • Donations, with or without gift aid may be processed through the same screen.
  • It provides full expiry date management, to ensure you never allow a donor or supporter to lapse.
  • It allows the upload of a batch transaction file.
  • It is a live gateway direct to the bank’s authorisation systems. Each payment is authorised in less than 5 seconds.
  • It maintains a full audit trail of transactions and provides full online reporting is to authorised users.
  • It enables you to cancel transactions entered in error and to put through refunds.

  • £300 set-up fee.
  • £20 per month system support fee per merchant account.
  • Credit card charges - 2.25%
  • Debit card charges - 20p + 1% of the transaction.
  • Chip and Pin charges- 1.9% or 19 pence
