PDD Case Study

Amnesty International UK

About The Charity

Amnesty International UK is one of more than 50 nationally organised sections that make up the Amnesty International worldwide movement. Made up of ordinary people from across the world standing up for humanity and human rights, the organisation’s purpose is to protect individuals wherever justice, fairness, freedom and truth are denied.

How It Is Using PDD

Amnesty International UK wanted to offer paperless direct debits to its supporters for donations as well as for their full range of memberships. Using PDD’s flexible mandate page creation features, Amnesty has created more than 10 different pages linked to specific web pages. The paperless direct debit mandates completed by supporters are verified and batched into a custom data file, which Amnesty imports into its own database for onward processing.

The Impact Of Using PDD

Amnesty International UK has collected over 2,000 new direct debits to date and seen the average gift value rise significantly.

“The technology put in place by CTT for Amnesty UK to do online processing of donations, membership and product sales in a secure and trusted environment has been crucially important for the organisation.  It has allowed us to do marketing drives that take people straight through to the payments tool such as our 'recommend a friend' initiative, creative donation appeals on our home page and other ideas which were not previously possible.” Amnesty International UK
