CP Terminal Case StudyThe Royal British Legion About The Charity The Royal British Legion provides financial, social and emotional support to millions who have served and are currently serving in the Armed Forces, and their dependants. Currently, nearly 10.5 million people are eligible for our support and we receive thousands of calls for help every year. How It Is Using CP Terminal In December 2003, The Royal British Legion (The Legion) became the first user of CTT’s CP Terminal. The Legion selected CP Terminal because of the inefficiencies associated with:
CP Terminal turns an office PC with internet access into the charity’s own branded and secure payments terminal capable of processing all credit card and debit card donations and other payments. It has replaced the traditional credit card machines used by the Legion to process their donations and payments received through the post, enabling them to input both the payments and gift aid information within one screen and to receive real time authorisation within a few seconds. CP Terminal also allows the charity to print off any reports of the transactions and, most importantly, delivers an automated gift aid report in the exact format required. The Royal British Legion has processed over £1 million of card payments through CP terminal. The system is used at three different locations by many users to process direct mail transactions such as appeals and raffles, as well as for the collection of online donations. The Impact Of Using CP Terminal The Royal British Legion have seen the following benefits since CP Terminal’s introduction:
The Royal British Legion now plans to use CP Terminal to process donations received by other departments within the organisation. “CP Terminal is a very important product for charities who have to process any volume of credit or debit card payments themselves. It is quick, secure but most important of all, will ensure we can process and collect our gift aid efficiently in the future”. The Royal British Legion |
