CTT launches payment terminal for charity shops - February 2007

Many charities are often faced with high set up costs and rental costs for card payment terminals and risk lost revenue from not being able to offer this facility to customers. CTT has been working for over a year to find a cost effective solution for the charity sector and can now offer a free CHIP and PIN enabled terminal for each charity retail outlet to process all credit and debit card transactions using an existing phone line.  The service includes free installation, training and support and integration with CTT’s CP Terminal reporting system.

The benefits to charities are significant.  In addition to fast and secure credit and debit card processing, the terminal provides the potential to enjoy an increased average transaction value per customer, especially as charities explore some of the added value features such as the opportunity to generate incremental revenues from mobile top ups.
