CTT to launch processing system for charity funds
November 2003 - New Media Age
Charity Technology Trust (CTT) is launching two products to provide charities with a wider range of online fundraising options.
From this week, it will offer a payments processing service via the Web, to enable charities who receive payments in the post or by phone to enter details directly into a payment processing gateway. It'll let charities of every size integrate their back office and Web site payments and donations to a single payments contract, source and supplier. It aims to lower costs, heighten security and automate Gift Aid reporting.
CTT partnered with payment services firm RSM for this service.
The second product, Edraws, is a derivation of CTT's existing raffling system, modified for hospices that carry out weekly or monthly lucky draws.
"Lucky draws are one way hospices raise their funds," said CTT MD Peter Sweatman. "Putting it online lets them have access to the online market." CTT works with 45 charities, including the RNIB, Whale & Dolphin Conservation Society, Directory of Social Change and Disasters and Emergency Committee.

Paid-for-search network Espotting Media has partnered with Charity Technology Trust (CTT) to help raise money for The Prince's Trust.
Through the deal, Espotting will be sponsoring the positioning of search words for The Prince's Trust online raffle, created by CTT, for VIP tickets to Party in the Park. 40 keywords and phrases used to navigate the Internet by likely donors and event-goers will be sponsored. The online raffle will be available for entry until 16 June.
According to Espotting Media's marketing director Chrys Philalithes, over 3,000 search requests for Party in the Park-related keywords have already been seen on the Espotting Network.
