23 January 2012 - SAP offers discounted access to its business solution software through CTT’s CTXchange donation programme.

London, 23rd January 2012
Charity Technology Trust (CTT) has announced that SAP, the world leader in collaborative business software, has added additional products to its technology donation programme, CTXchange. Charities will now have access to more SAP business intelligence and collaboration software packages through a discounted two year license.
Through CTXchange, qualified organisations will have access to two business software packages: Business Objects BI OnDemand and Streamwork. The first is a web-based business intelligence software solution designed to explore, report and share data online. It allows users to import and combine sales and marketing data from a variety of sources and to compile dashboards and reports to visualise the data. This can help charities to share information across the organisation as well as to provide analysis and insights into the results of their activities, such as fundraising campaigns.
The second offering, StreamWork, is a web-based collaboration tool designed to help users to make group decisions from disparate locations. Using Streamwork, any number of participants can be invited to discuss issues, share and analyse information online in real time, which can help teams to develop and agree strategy decisions.
Eligible UK charities can choose whether to receive access to one or both of these products.
"Access to business-level enterprise technology is just as important for charities as it is for commercial businesses,” said Richard Craig of CTT. “As part of CTXchange, SAP will give charitable organisations access to the same information processing power as for-profit companies, helping them to operate more efficiently."

About SAP Business Objects BI OnDemand Essential Edition
SAP Business Objects BI OnDemand is web-based business intelligence software for exploring, reporting, and sharing data online. Users can import and combine data from a variety of sources, explore data with search tools, and visualise data with dashboards and reports. Anyone with an email address can be invited to view, explore, and collaborate on data and visualisations online.
The software's interface guides users through creating interactive visualisations like pivot tables, charts, and graphs, which can be shared with others, displayed on a user's dashboard, or embedded in an external website. Datasets can be manually created, or data can be imported from an Excel or comma-separated-value (.csv) spreadsheet up to 3 MB in size from a database query, from RSS feeds, or from Salesforce.com.
About SAP StreamWork Professional Edition
SAP StreamWork is web-based collaboration software for making group decisions. Users can invite any number of participants to discuss issues, share documents and data, analyse and visualise data, and strategise online in real time. Invited participants without paid SAP StreamWork accounts will be directed to create free SAP StreamWork Basic Edition accounts before they can participate in group decisions.
Collaboration efforts are managed as "activities," online spaces where users and other participants make decisions. An activity can include content items that contain data and research, business tools such as pro/con tables and responsibility matrices, and decision items that require a sign-off from select participants. Group decisions and all related information are stored online, providing a record of decisions that is accessible to all participants.
