London, 14 December 2011

Charity Technology Trust (CTT) has announced the launch of its Flip Video donation scheme through CTXchange. The pocket-sized video cameras will be available through CTT’s technology donation programme to eligible charities and not-for-profit organisations while stocks last.

Flip Video cameras allow users with any level of experience to create, edit and share movies with ease. Cisco’s discontinued stock will be allocated to eligible organisations through CTXchange on a first come, first served basis. The cameras can be used by charity staff, volunteers and constituents to support promotion and social media activities through digital story telling.

"Corporate Social Responsibility is part of our DNA at Cisco." commented Patrick Verret, Cisco Corporate Affairs Program Manager. "Through our long-time partnership with CTT, we hope to empower not-for-profit organisations to use human and technology networks to multiply their impact, and believe that video is one of the most powerful mediums for sharing their message. We hope that by using Flip video cameras charities will be able to tell their stories to a broader audience and achieve more of their goals."

"We are very grateful to Cisco for this generous donation," said Richard Craig, CEO of CTT. "As social media and digital marketing continue to capture increasing amounts of consumers' time and attention, it is vital that charities have access to these technologies to help raise money and awareness of the causes they support. We hope that the Flip Video donation programme will help eligible organisations to develop more creative and effective video campaigns."
