Our TeamWilliam Hoyle - Chief Executive William joined Charity Technology Trust as Chief Executive in August 2004 after a 26 year career in Financial Services and ICT. William started his career in the credit card industry where he was involved in the transformation of an in house data division into a ‘for profit’ company specialising in the outsourcing of payment card services. In 1992 William moved to Cable & Wireless plc. Over 12 years at C&W he built up a track record in directing major programmes and leading large international teams through significant change & transformation. William is also a director of The Charity IT Resource Alliance (CITRA) a non-profit dedicated to improving IT professionalism in the Third Sector and a board member of Sadler Heath, an organisation focused on equipping individuals to take charge of their own personal and career development. James Redhead - Development Director James is an experienced Accountant and Strategy Consultant, with 10 years experience in assisting charities develop their fundraising and commercial activities. James has worked for a range of major charities, including The Royal British Legion (since 1986) , Scope, Guide Dogs For The Blind and Age Concern, RSPCA amongst others. He is acknowledged as one of the UK’s leading advisors on the use of Lotteries and other committed giving schemes for Fundraising as well as internet applications. James is involved in a number of the most recent developments including donation processing using SMS/ internet and interactive TV, email marketing and on-line lotteries. He is co-founder of Charity Technology Trust , the Charity set up to create and provide new on-line technologies to UK Charities. James’ current charity clients raise several million pounds a year from the fundraising activities he has introduced. An accountant, James has held a number of Finance Directorships, over the past 15 years and continues to act as a Non Executive Finance Director for two charities. James is also a Director of the Charity Consultants Limited network of fundraising professionals and is a Co-Director with Andrew Thomas of Prospecting for Gold Limited, the UK’s leading prospect research company. James is also an active Charity Trustee and holds The Institute of Fundraising’s Certificate in Fundraising Management. He is a Member of the Institute of Fundraising and a fellow of The Royal Society for Arts. Gavin Sturge – Non Executive Finance Director Gavin spends half of his week as the finance director at Illumina Digital. The other half of the week, he acts as a financial consultant or finance director for a number of charities and small organisations. His clients include First Light and Mental Health Media. Previously, he worked at Culture Online where he was Finance Director for four years with responsibility for the financial management of a range of government projects. He started his career in audit before moving into the commodity trading world. This was followed by project management work for organisations such as the London Stock Exchange and Ernst & Young. He has been a school governor for 15 years and is a trustee of Webplay. E-Communications Team Maria Diaz - E-Communications Manager Maria joined Charity Technology Trust in October 2004. She has 15 years customer service expertise gained in the private and public sectors. She currently manages all E-Communication enquiries from email marketing, SMS giving, video and audio campaigning, design and any other E-Communication's projects for CTT. Maria worked for WaterAid as their website development officer from 2002 until joining CTT in 2004. She was responsible for the implementation and development of the day-to-day operational activities of WaterAid’s websites including 12 internet sites, intra and extranets. She effectively managed 10 HTML sites and a bespoke content management system for WaterAid’s main sites. She managed WaterAid's various email newsletters, designing and building templates, loading content and managing sending. She also acted as primary point of contact for online donations (WorldPay) administration server problems - this involving the investigation, refund and authorization of payments made to WaterAid’s online accounts. She was awarded an M Sc. in Aquatic Resources Management (2002) and a B Sc.(Hon) in Biological Sciences (2001) from King’s College and the University of London respectively. She is bilingual; Spanish being her mother tongue and English, as a second language. Victoria Barton - E-Communications Assistant Victoria joined Charity Technology Trust in November 2007. She graduated from Bournemouth University with a BSc (Hons) in Business Information Technology. From there, she worked as a Development Assistant for Community Legal Advice. Her job was to maintain and update the multi-language website and help develop effective web marketing techniques for a non-profit organisation. Victoria then decided to fulfil a life long dream to travel the world. After a year of experiencing different cultures and places, Victoria settled in Vancouver, Canada, to work. On her return to England, Victoria returned to Community Legal Advice to organise and manage the re-translation of the website into 9 languages. CTX Team Sarah joined Charity Technology Trust in May 2006. Sarah brings extensive experience in client, membership and customer-driven environments across the Public, Private and Voluntary sectors in England and Australia. After graduating from Bristol University with a BSc Hons in Physiology, Sarah emigrated to Australia where she developed and delivered School Holiday Programmes for Councils in Geelong and Melbourne and volunteered as a Telephone Counsellor for Lifeline (Samaritans) Australia. On her return to London, she worked as Creative Coordinator for Robert Montgomery & Partners, a Creative Representation Agency for Photographers, Stylists & Designers including David Bailey, Lord Snowdon & Cath Kidston. She went on to work as Membership Coordinator for Community Action Network, a membership organisation supporting and networking over 700 Social Entrepreneurs across the UK, before joining CTT as Customer Relations Manager for the CTX Programme. Adam Cardew - Customer Services Advisor - CTX Adam is a marketing graduate from the University of Gloucestershire, where his interest in the non-profit sector began. His degree included a year long industry placement at Intel, where he worked in Marketing Development. During Adam's final year at university he tailored his degree towards non-profit marketing studies. His dissertation on Fair Trade consumerism has been accepted as a valuable research paper in this growing field of study. Mika Kamohara - Administration Officer - CTX Mika graduated in English and then worked in the construction industry in Japan for five years, whilst at the same time teaching English to under 12's on a voluntary basis in her local community. After a period working in a language school in Japan and in the hospitality industry, Mika came to the UK to brush up her language skills and enrolled in an office administration course at Southwark College. She started working at CTT as a volunteer in April 2007 and joined the team on a part time basis in July. |
