Our Trustees

Charles Mindenhall (Charity Technology Trust Chairman)

Charles is co-founder of Blenheim Chalcot, an investment group that actively manages a portfolio of fast growth ventures. Typically, these businesses are innovative leaders, creating a position based on a market or regulatory discontinuity in technology, financial services or media. Charles is Chief Executive of Agilisys, a broad based IT services and outsourcing group that evolved from netdecisions group, which he co-founded. He also co-founded Fluency (sold to venture capitalists in 2003), Eviivo and Steeltrace (sold to Compuware in 2004), and the Rights Company (sold to Warner Music in 2005) . In addition to running Agilisys, Charles is a non-executive director of Fairpoint Group (AIM quoted financial services), and Emerging Media (Indian sports rights).

In addition to chairing CTT, Charles is also a founding trustee of Operation Smile UK.

Charles was formerly a leader at Monitor Company, where he spent significant time in the UK and Asia. Charles now spends his time in the UK, where most of the group's businesses are headquartered. Charles has
a MA from the University of Oxford.

Joe Billington (Charity Technology Trust Trustee)

Joe has worked in the voluntary sector in regeneration and learning in East London for eight years and in voluntary sector fundraising for a further five. He has been CEO of East London Advanced Technology Training for 20 months, during which time he has established a focus on financial and contract management, re-envisaged the organisation, established new plans for new products and turned around a failing organisation.

Joe has extensive experience of business development, statutory contracting and financial planning. He has raised five million pounds in learning contracts from statutory sources in five years. He also has experience of voluntary sector giving, raising £300,000 annually from charitable trusts and establishing the partnership between The Financial Times Lunch for a Fiver and Save the Children Fund in 1996.

Joe is also on the boards of Peter Bedford Housing Association, Hackney Training and Employment Network and the London voluntary Sector Training Consortium.

Fiona Dawe, OBE (Charity Technology Trust Trustee)

Fiona Dawe is Chief Executive of YouthNet UK, the UK’s first virtual, or online charity set up by Martyn Lewis CBE in 1995 to champion an inclusive social environment where all young adults aged 16-24 can contribute to society.  This is facilitated this through two websites; www.do-it.org.uk - where volunteering is made easy; and www.TheSite.org - the one-stop-shop of advice and support for young people.

Following a short marketing career in fast-moving consumer goods, Fiona became a full-time Community Service Volunteer working with young offenders. She then joined CSV, placing young people as volunteers and developing special projects, including the Independent Living Scheme, enabling disabled people to lead independent lives facilitated by full-time volunteers.

She then held senior management positions at OUTSET, a national charity providing IT training and employment for disabled people. Immediately prior to joining YouthNet, she worked for the National Centre for Volunteering, where, as Director of Policy and Development, she was responsible for the strategic development of volunteering across all economic sectors in England, influencing social policy and leading high profile campaigns.

She has been on a number of Boards and advisory groups, including the Guidance Council,   Kensington and Chelsea Volunteer Bureau and the Home Office Active Community Directorate.  She is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce and in the January 2003 New Year’s Honours List she was awarded an OBE for services to the voluntary sector.

Married to an architect, she has two teenaged children.

Harvey McGrath (Charity Technology Trust Trustee)

Harvey is currently Chairman of Man Group plc, one of the world's leading specialised fund managers and largest futures brokers. Man Group is listed on the London Stock Exchange (EMG.L) and is a member of the FTSE 100 index of leading shares. Harvey became Chief Executive in 1990 and was appointed as Chairman in March 2000.

Harvey joined Man Group in 1980 from Chase Manhattan Bank where he specialised in trade and commodity finance. He brings over 25 years of financial services industry and international trade experience. As CEO of the Man Group, he managed the IPO in 1994 and, subsequently, the transition from a partnership with 200 years of commodity trading experience into a focused, global alternative asset manager.

Harvey was born in 1952 and has an MA in Geography from St Catherine's College, Cambridge. He is married, with two children, living in London and his interests include music and theatre.

As a trustee of Charity Technology Trust, Harney brings 25 years of financial and business building experience. Harvey is also a Trustee of New Philanthropy Capital.

Matthew Peacock (Charity Technology Trust Founder Trustee)

After a successful career in investment banking, Matthew left his position as head of the International Mergers and Acquisitions' team at BZW to become an entrepreneur. Since then, Matthew has built businesses and pioneered new ventures in the retail, technology and sports sectors starting with Peaco Sport Ltd in 1991.

In 1998, Matthew, along with two business partners, created The DataForce Group, now one of the UK's leading direct marketing business, through the acquisition of two long-established companies.

In 1999, Matthew set up iForceª, Europe's leading digital fulfillment business, with clients such as BMW, John Lewis, Nokia and Sony. iForceª leads the way in offering an end-to-end e-fulfillment solution including consultancy, e-analysis, stock management, customer service and logistics. In 2002 Matthew set up the European operations of Hanover Investors, which he runs.

As a trustee of Charity Technology Trust, Matthew's role is to bring extensive online business experience, a strong technology vision and network to assist CTT in achieving its goals.

Paul Zuckerman (Charity Technology Trust Trustee)

Paul Zuckerman is the Chairman and CEO of Zuckerman & Associates LLC, a company that advises e-commerce related start-ups and works with strategic and venture capital sources of finance. He is also a non-executive director of a number of public and private companies.

Previously Paul spent 17 years with SG Warburg and Caspian Securities. He was Chairman of S.G.Warburg Latin America and a Deputy Chairman of S.G. Warburg International. At Caspian Securities he was Head of Investment Banking.

Paul was also chair of an NGO (Intermediate Technology Development Group, UK) dedicated to enabling poor people in the Third World to develop and use technologies and methods which contribute to the long-term development of their communities. He sits on a number of charitable boards now, including the International Women's Health Coalition in New York.

As a trustee of Charity Technology Trust, Paul brings depth of experience in the non-profit sector and technology enterprise.
