About CTT

Mission

To be “The UK organisation that has the most impact on how Civil Society organisations can exploit the technology resources they need to improve their effectiveness, achieve their aims and, in turn, improve the lives of the people they serve”.

How do we do this?

CTT is a specialist, independent and impartial organisation. It focuses mainly on the provision of a wide range of products and services including Donated Products, used to increase charities’ efficiency in many of their core areas of activity:

Our email marketing business distributes nearly 2 million messages per month and has overturned the sector’s traditional love of direct mail and demonstrated the efficiency and effectiveness of electronic communications. Our growing payments portfolio provides a range of solutions that specifically address the needs of charities’ fundraising operations.

Through our technology donation programme CTX, over 3,000 charities have benefited from the donation of capacity building technology.

However, the measure of CTT’s success is best seen, not by counting how much it does, but by looking at its positive impact on:

• The individual charities with which it works;
• The charitable sector as a whole.

Our experiences working with charity clients, and our ongoing discussions with the sector, suggest that CTT has a very valuable role to play in helping charities make the right decisions about technology choices, and helping them to access this technology most cost effectively.
